Madeline T. (Wrenn) Carroll, 86, of Worcester, died Sunday, June 25th, in UMass-Memorial Medical Center. Her husband of 50 years, Joseph A. Carroll, died in 1995.

   She leaves a son, Brian S. Carroll of Barre; a daughter, Maureen, wife of Edward Quinn of Worcester; a sister, Katherine Russell of Worcester; 4 grandchildren, Bridget Quinn of Boston, Meaghan Quinn of Worcester, Heather Carroll of Barre and Colin Carroll of Washington, DC.

   Mrs. Carroll was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frederick and Katherine (Dolan) Wrenn and graduated from South High School in 1938. She was an operator for New England Telephone Company for 30 years retiring in 1986, and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
