Subscription Update Obituary

   Madeline H. (Hazard) Hills-Hazard, 97, of Littleton, New Hampshire, formerly of Sylvan Street in Worcester, passed away, Saturday, February 23, 2008, in The Lafayette Center of Franconia. Her husband, William A. Hazard, pre-deceased her in 1981. She is survived by her loving family, including a daughter, Anne M. Assencoa, with whom she lived; three sons, Raymond R. Hills of Roswell, New Mexico, Delnor A. Hazard and Jed Dean Hazard both of Worcester; eighteen grandchildren; fifty-three great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Madeline was pre-deceased by two sons, William and Eugene Hazard, as well as a brother, Charles Hazzard. She was born in Leominster, MA, daughter of James E. and Love (Wilcox) Hazzard. Madeline grew up in Leominster, where she graduated from Leominster High School. She then moved to Worcester, where she lived for many years, before moving to Littleton five years ago, to live with her daughter.

   A funeral service for Madeline will be held Friday, February 29, at 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 28, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
