Subscription Update Obituary

    Lucian Ograbisz, 92, of Worcester, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Radius Healthcare of Worcester, 119 Providence St. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Caroline E. (Menengas) Ograbisz; three sons: Lucian B. of Goffstown, NH, John A. of Worcester and Francis M. and his wife, Joann Ograbisz of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Maria Ograbisz of Belgium; nine grandchildren: Adam, Alison, Sarah, Emily, Katie, Matthew, Joseph, Christopher and Joshua; and nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, a son of Bronislaus and Joanna (Galdecka) Ograbisz.

    Mr. Ograbisz worked 33 years, for Wyman Gordon Company in North Grafton as a machine calibrator until he retired. During World War II, he served as a Staff Sergeant with the US Army Air Corps serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Lucian was an avid "ten pin" bowler who also had a passion for completing cross word puzzles. He enjoyed spending time and keeping up with his grandchildren.

    The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 6, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. Calling hours will be Friday, March 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 34 Ward St.
