Subscription Update Obituary

   Louise M. (Erti) Wright, 63, of Worcester, after a long courageous battle with cancer, died peacefully Friday, November 28, 2008, in her home, in the arms of her devoted, loving husband.

   She leaves her husband of 38 years, David Wright; a brother, James Erti and his wife Rose of Worcester; a brother-in-law, Don Wright and his wife Elaine and many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one brother and four sisters, Rocco Erti and Cataldo Turner, Antoinette Stone, Rita Erkoc and Domenica Bristol.

   Louise was born in Worcester, daughter of Ali and Nancy (Lentini-Erti) Mustapha and has been a native to Worcester all of her life. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1963, where she was class Valedictorian. She then graduated from Worcester State College in 1967. Louise received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Louise was an accomplished math teacher, a private tutor and was hired by the City of Worcester as an MCAS remediation tutor. She also taught at Fitchburg High School, Harrington Way Junior High School and retired from Worcester East Middle School. Louise had a great love for gardening and sports. She was an avid bowler, golfer and was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She was a good woman, who touched many hearts with her caring and helpful ways. Louise was a fun loving woman who found great joy spending time with family and friends, making them smile and laugh. She will be remembered dearly as a loyal and good friend.

   A funeral for Louise will be held, Wednesday, December 3rd from MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held December 2nd from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
