Subscription Update Obituary

     Louis Scaturro, 93, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, November 18th 2011.

      Louis is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Leanna) Scaturro: a daughter, granddaughter and great grandchild: a friend of his and Dorothy’s, Dianna Provencher who dedicated herself to care for them in a time of need; nieces and nephews. A son, Louis Jr. and a daughter, Barbara McCarthy, four brothers and a sister all predeceased him. Louis was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran. He earned the purple heart for wounds suffered in battle and took part in five major battles during the War. He was a member and past commander of Post #3 Italian American VFW in Worcester.

     Louis owned several businesses in Worcester including Luigi’s Italian Restaurant on Cambridge and Papa Luigi’s on Main Street.

     Graveside service with Military honors will be held Wednesday, November 23rd at 12:30 p.m in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
