Hargrave of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, Bonni Lee Holmes and her husband David of North Brookfield, and Christopher Karbowski and his wife Melanie of Brookfield; 6 great-grandchildren, Nicole D., Gabrielle A. and Faith E. Holmes, and James M. and Grace Y. Karbowski. Two brothers, Henry and Adolf; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Niedwiecki, Laura Sheeran and Virginia Ferrantino; and a great-grandson Tyler J. He was born in Worcester on July 8th, 1919, the son of Waclaw and Viola (Wolosz) Karbowski. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the 180th Infantry in Africa, Italy, France and Germany and received the Combat Infantryman Badge for his exemplary conduct during action against the enemy. Mr. Karbowski worked in many manufacturing jobs in the Worcester Area over the years such as Gay Chrome, Dowd Box, Crompton & Knowles and Warner Swasey from which he retired many years ago. He was an avid gardener who raised and sold his tomatoes and other vegetables more for the social rather than monetary rewards they provided. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the VNA Care Network & Hospice with a special thanks to Sandy DeCarlo, Dad's kind, caring and dedicated RN.
