Lorraine Lucille (Fugere) Martinez, 79, died peacefully Saturday September 15, 2012 at Autumn Village. Lorraine was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Joseph “Sookie” Martinez. She is survived by her five loving daughters: Jacqueline Lear of Worcester, MA; Jeanne Moriarty of Hampden, MA; Joanne Flynn of Thompson, CT; Joyce Tauras of Windham, NH; and Jodi Curtin of North Andover, MA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four siblings: Charles Fugere of Los Angeles, CA; Donald Fugere, Carol Gould, and Stanley Fugere, all of Worcester, MA.
     Lorraine lived her entire life in Worcester. A devoted mother and wife, she enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the great pleasure to know and love her.
     A public memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will be private at Worcester Memorial Park.
