Subscription Update Obituary

     Lorraine G. (Gauthier) Young 85 of 88 Masonic Home Rd., formerly of Howe Village, Spencer, died Thursday, Oct. 10 at Overlook Masonic Home.

     She was the wife of Edmond R. Young, Jr. who died in 1986. She leaves four sons Robert R. Young and his wife Karen of Warren, Richard E. Young of Shrewsbury, Ronald L. Young and his wife Janette of Spencer and Randy L. Young and his wife Kathleen of Sandy Hook, Ct., her daughter Carol A. Gibeault and her husband Jason of Brookfield, a brother Leo Gauthier of Rapid City, SD, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

     Lorraine was a nurses’ aide for many years at Park Terrace Nursing Home in Worcester.

     Born in Southbridge, she was the daughter of Isidore M. and Yvonne (Leduc) Gauthier. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, and past member of the American Legion Post 138 Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and trips to the casino. She was an avid Red Sox Fan, and foremost was spending time with her family.

     A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Masonic Health System of MA Foundation, Attn: Employee Appreciation Campaign Fund, 88 Masonic Hill Rd., Charlton, MA 01507.
