Subscription Update Obituary

    Lorraine E. (Loeffler) Johnson, 89, passed away in Knollwood Nursing Center, Monday, February 8, 2010. She leaves her husband of 68 years, Leslie H. Johnson; two sons, Douglas L. Johnson and his wife Viola Haarmann of Worcester and Donald G. Johnson and his wife Janet A. of Freedom, NH; a sister, Barbara J. Utter of Auburn; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A brother, Robert J. Loeffler pre-deceased her.

    Lorraine was born in Hartford, CT, daughter of Guy T. and Elvira (Nordquist) Loeffler. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1938. Lorraine worked in the office at the Salvation Army for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Mary Elizabeth Circle, Greendale Retired Women's Club, and the Scandinavian Women's Club.

    A Memorial Service will be held in the Nave of Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster St., Friday, February 12, 2010 at 12:00 noon. Please omit flowers; donations may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Endowment Fund. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street is directing arrangements.
