Subscription Update Obituary

  Loretta J. (Novak) Dunn, 84, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on November 17, 2008. Her husband, Walter F. Dunn, passed away in 1982. She leaves a daughter, Lori A. Konrad and her husband Karl of Jefferson; a son, Robert E. Dunn and his wife Julianne of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Ashley and Auriel Konrad of Jefferson, Kevin Dunn of Jefferson and Steven Dunn of Worcester; a sister, Rita P. Novak of Worcester; three brothers, Richard P. Novak of Sutton, Eugene M. Novak of Worcester, and Robert E. Novak of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Raymond Novak predeceased her.

  Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Sylvester and Vera (Dell) Novak. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. She worked for Norton Company for 33 years, retiring in 1985. Loretta was part owner of Reservoir Garage, West Boylston, working part-time in the office with her son, Robert, and grandson, Steven. She owned a sand and gravel business in Jefferson. Loretta was a life-long member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. She was an avid Line Dancer and loved vacationing at her beach house in York, Maine.

  Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., with a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, 25 Fales St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel Thursday, Nov. 20, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St. Worcester MA 01606.
