Loretta D. (Duhamel) Hughes, 91, of Worcester, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St. Her husband, Harold H. Hughes died in 1997. She leaves a son, Philip Hughes and his wife Theresa of Jonesboro, GA; two daughters, Diane Atchue and her husband, Albert of Spencer and Phyllis Martin and her husband James of Worcester; three grandchildren, Christine Reniere, Debra Adams and Scott Atchue; six great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. The last of five children, she was born in Worcester a daughter of Arthur and Oliva (Champagne) Duhamel.

    Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish. The family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Francis Home, especially Donna, Joe and Jessica.

    The funeral will be held Monday, November 29, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Sunday, November 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
