Subscription Update Obituary

Lois L. (Donaghy) Simpson, 47, of 37 Ledge Ave., died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a courageous battle with cancer.

She leaves her husband of 31 years, Gary D. Simpson; three sons: Gary D. Simpson, Jr. and his wife Ashley of West Warren, Gregory S. Simpson of Spencer, Christopher B. Simpson of West Warren; a brother, Mark Donaghy and his wife Elizabeth of Dover-Foxcroft, ME; three sisters: Linda Laconto and her husband Ronald of Leicester, twin sisters: Judy F. Plankey of Spencer and Trudy M. Vail and her husband Charlie of Holland, MA; a very special grandson, Reese Simpson; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend Sharon Gaskill.

Born in Worcester she was the daughter of Earl S. & Anita (Fields) Donaghy.

Mrs. Simpson was a graduate of Auburn High School and attended Quinsigamond College School of Nursing.

She was a store manager for over 20 years at Grammy’s and Vinny’s Fish and Chips and at Sanges Salon all in Worcester.

She enjoyed traveling to Key West and being around her family.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday, October 19 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer.

Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5-7 P.M. Tuesday in the Funeral Home.
