Subscription Update Obituary

Lionel E. O'Coin, 92, of Howe Village, died Sunday, Sept. 17 at Life Care Center of Auburn.

He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Kenneway) O'Coin who died in 1999. He leaves three daughters, Joyce A. Landine and her husband Kenneth of Brookfield, Marilyn O'Coin of Utica, N.Y., and Carolyn Gregory of Spencer, four brothers, Wilfred and Roland O'Coin of Spencer, Leo O'Coin of E.Brookfield and Harold O'Coin of Lantana, Fl., two sisters, Lillie Belle Letendre and Lorraine Buckmaster of Spencer, 5 grandchildren, Kenneth Gregory of Spencer, Jeffrey Landine and his wife Kelly of Brookfield, Michael Gregory and his wife Kathleen of Hollis, N.H., Pamela Landine and her partner Lori of Leominster and David Landine of Brookfield, 3 great grandchildren, Jacob and Ryan Gregory and Riley Landine, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers Clair and Woodrow O'Coin and a sister Jacqueline O'Coin.

Mr. O'Coin was a life long shoeworker at the former H.H.Brown Shoe Co. in Worcester before retiring in 1977.

He was a member of the Men's League of the First Congregational Church and a longtime member of the former Spencer Order of Redmen. Born in E.Brookfield, he was the son of Leo and Eva (Duval) O'Coin.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Spencer, 205 Main St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 18 from 5 to 7p.m. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the 1st. Congregational Church, P.O. Box 187, Spencer, MA. 01562.
