Subscription Update Obituary

   Lionel A. Dufault, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 25th in the Millbury Health Care Center in Millbury.

   He is survived by his beloved companion, Betty Sundeen; two sons, David and his wife Sandra Dufault of Worcester and Peter and his wife Carol Dufault of Sutton; a daughter, Susan, wife of Robert Button of East Brookfield; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeannette D. LePire of Putnam, CT; the children of his companion, Andrea, Denise, and Dana and Paul who is predeceased; nephews and nieces. He was born and raised in Putnam. CT and is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Aldea (Casse) Dufault, a son, John Dufault, a sister, Theresa D. Levesque and a grandson, Todd Pierce.

   Lionel was a truck driver for Teamsters Local #170 for 35 years, retiring years ago. He also worked side by side with Betty at their diner, Betty and Duf's Diner. He was a WW II Navy veteran and served on the Culebra Island ARG7. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Rochdale Fire Department and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Leicester and the Rochdale American Legion. He enjoyed tennis and candle bowling, where he once bowled a 443 triple (three strings) and was a member of the Four Hundred Club at Colonial Bowl in Worcester. Lionel's family would like to thank the staff at the Millbury Health Care Center for their constant attention to him.

   His funeral will be held Saturday, March 28th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St in Millbury. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. There will be a calling hour from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the funeral, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
