Subscription Update Obituary

    Linda M. Lee, 53, of 273 Wigwam Road, passed away at home on December 22, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Linda courageously fought pancreatic cancer for five years.

    Linda is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Richard E. Lee; two daughters: Jennifer E. Lee of North Attleboro and Erin M. Lee of West Brookfield. She also leaves 3 sisters: Charlotte Pine and her husband Lee of West Brookfield, Cindy Whalen and her husband John of Paxton, Janice O’Neill and her husband Ted of West Brookfield; and 2 brothers: Charlie Kady and his wife Amy of Spencer, and Gary Kady and his wife Sandy of East Brookfield. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Eleanor (Hashway) Kady in 2000 and her brother Randal S. Kady in 2006.

    Linda was employed as a Senior Analyst at Staples Corporate office located in Framingham, MA.

    She was born in Framingham, MA and grew up in Spencer and moved to West Brookfield in 1989. She graduated from David Prouty High School in 1975. Linda also held a real estate license in Massachusetts. She earned her Associates Degree in Business from Becker College in 2007 all while enduring chemotherapy treatments.

     Linda was best remembered for her contagious laugh and feisty personality, and most of all her strength and courage. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, reading, going to the beach and being with her family.

    The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Horner, Oncologist and Dr. Laura Lambert, Surgical Oncologist, and all the staff at UMASS Memorial and UMASS Memorial University Campus.

    The funeral will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Road, (Rte. 9) Brookfield, MA. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling Hours at the funeral home will be on Monday, December 27th from 5-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN), 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
