Linda M. (Cabana) Dube, 56, of Charlton, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013, in The Rose Monahan Hospice Residence.
Linda is survived by her loving companion, James D. Woodward; two daughters, Paula L. Keener of Apex, NC and Jennifer C. Dube of Los Angeles; her three grandchildren, Catherine and Lauren Keener of Apex, NC and Gabryanna Cardenas and her dad Juan Cardenas both of Oxford; a sister, Mary Jane E. Perec of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother in law, Joseph B. Perec of Worcester; two brothers, John R. Cabana of Largo, FL and William R. Cabana of New London, CT; a niece, Sonia DiGioia; two nephews, Mark and Luke Perec; several cousins, and an aunt. She was predeceased by her beloved dog, Sheba. Linda was born in Worcester, daughter of the late William O. and Catherine G. (Dougall) Cabana. She was educated in Worcester and graduated from Fisher Jr. College.
Linda worked as a retail service merchandiser since 1984 for several distribution companies in the area. She was also working as a tax advisor at H&R Block since 1992. She was a member of Saint Joseph Church in Charlton, but continued to be connected to her Worcester church of Notre Dame, now Holy Family. She was active at the Oxford Community Center where she enjoyed kick boxing, group power walking and step classes. She loved the Red Sox and taking cruises.
Linda loved animals and being with family and friends. Some of her fondest memories were of her summers in Rye, NH and being involved with her granddaughters, whether quiet times or watching their sporting activities.
Her family would like to acknowledge and thank all those involved in her care, especially all of the kind people at Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, for it was the love and compassion they showed, that made her life and her sickness easier.
