Subscription Update Obituary

Linda J. (Maynard) Martin, 78, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday July 6, 2025, with her loving family at her bedside.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Rodney J. Martin, with whom she celebrated fifty-six years of marriage on June 7. She is also survived by a son, Gregg F. Martin and his significant other Amy-Lynne Deleskey of Marlboro; a daughter, Amy L. Morin and her husband Todd of Worcester; a sister, Beverly Cole and her husband Emerson of Georgia; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Larrabee and her fiancé Matt Jacques, and Jocelyn Larrabee, Holly Duguay and her husband Zack, Zalea Morin and her fiancé John Blondin, three great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Jordan and Penelope; nieces and nephews. Linda was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Anna (Thompson) Maynard. She grew up in Shrewsbury, where she graduated from Shrewsbury High School, before settling in Worcester to raise her family.

Linda worked as a records clerk at the Fallon Clinic for several years, before she retired. She had previously been a teacher’s aide at both Burncoat and Norrback schools; and prior to raising her children, she worked for the former Guarantee Bank.

Linda was a member of Saint Christopher’s Church, she enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, crafting, and was an expert on anything Swedish. She loved to garden and spend time with the family who were often captivated by her sense of humor and charm. As well as playing with her grand dog Daisy.

Calling Hours will be on Thursday morning beginning at 9 am until her Funeral Service begins at 11 am in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
