Subscription Update Obituary

   It is with great sadness the family of Linda A. Canty announces her death on Saturday, November 15, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.

   Linda leaves her husband of 14 years, John Canty; a daughter, Jennifer (Roux) O’Toole and her husband Scott of Worcester; a brother, David Fahey of Tampa, FL four sisters, Kathleen Racine of Deland, FL, Ann Marie Savage and her husband William, Patricia Clapp and her husband Dennis of Auburn and Jane Haddad of Debary, FL; several nieces and nephews and her dear friend that was more like a sister, Barbara St. John. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John and Shirley (St. Germain) Fahey.

   Linda worked for many years at UMASS-Memorial in the Cardiology Department and enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.

   Linda and her family would like to thank family members, friends, St. Joseph’s Church and UMASS Memorial Hospice for their devoted care. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

   A Private Funeral Service will be held Wednesday., Nov. 19 at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main St., Leicester, 01524 or UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605.
