Subscription Update Obituary

   Lillian D. (Comeau) Montigny, 84, formerly of Village Dr., died Wednesday, Jan. 28th in the Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after an illness.

   Her husband, Henry O. Montigny, died in 1990; he was the owner of the former Vet’s Driving School in Southbridge. She leaves her son, Bryant C. Montigny and his wife Catherine of Southbridge; her daughter, Linda M. Labbe and her husband Michael E. Labbe of Southbridge; two grandchildren, Erin Streibig and her husband Christopher of Boca Raton, FL and Brad Withington and his wife Heather of Sheboygan, WI; and 2 great grandchildren, Allison Streibig and Bridget Streibig. She was predeceased by two brothers, Rosario Comeau and Al Comeau. She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Joseph and Melvina (Dupre) Comeau.

   Lillian worked at the American Optical Co., Hyde Manufacturing and Russell Harrington Co., all in Southbridge before retiring many years ago. She enjoyed French Canadian cooking, visiting the beaches in Rhode Island and all day shopping on Saturdays.

   Her funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.

   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Parish Ministry Center, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge, MA 01550 or to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

   The Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, is directing arrangements.
