Subscription Update Obituary

   Lillian A. (Morse) Counihan, 80, of Paxton, died Tuesday, February 12th in Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 59 years Robert V. Counihan, died in 2006. She leaves her son, Robert J. Counihan of Brewster, NY; her daughter, Catherine T., her husband David and their daughter Amy Marie Polewarczyk of Sterling; a brother, Richard and his wife Sandra Morse of Rutland; her special cousin, Charlotte Setaro of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. Three brothers: Robert, Arthur and Kenneth Morse, predeceased her.

   She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Kenneth E. and Lillian (Morton) Morse. Mrs. Counihan was a member of St. Columba Church, the Worcester Police Wives Association; the Paxton Woman's Club and was a former Girl Scout leader. Lillian will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

   The funeral is Saturday, February 16th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Avenue. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. Calling hours are Friday, February 15th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Columba Church, 10 Richards Avenue, Paxton, MA 01612, Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Patient Activities Fund, 76 North Main Street, Oakdale, MA 01583 or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and support provided to our mother.
