Subscription Update Obituary

     Liberty “Eleutheria” (Condos) Lianides, of Worcester 89, passed away on May 23, 2012. Born July 7, 1922 in Thompson, CT to Vay and Helen Condos, Libby grew up in Dudley, MA and was a member of Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church. She was a devoted wife to Thomas W. Lianides, who predeceased her in 1972.She was employed at Woodbury & Company from 1969 until her retirement in 1987. She was honored to be a volunteer at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA for over 15 years. She leaves behind two daughters and their husbands: Constance and Norman Hendrickson and Barbara Lianides-Chin and Kenneth Chin; as well as three grandchildren: Jonathan Hendrickson, who is married to Rebecca Hendrickson; Victoria Hendrickson; and Cristos Lianides-Chin. Her great-grandchildren, Jaedyn and Alyssandra Hendrickson brought her much joy in the latter years of her life. She is also survived by her brother and his wife, Vasil and Despina Condos; her sister, Athena Cooney; and numerous nieces and nephews around the world.

     Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to honor her life can be made to the “Treasured Generations Fund, Eastern Orthodox Management Corporation”.
