Subscription Update Obituary

     Lesa (Thornton) Ross, 47, of Rutland, died Friday, March 22, 2013 in UMass Memorial Medical Center, with her family at her side.
     She leaves her husband of seven years, Vincent S. Ross, of Rutland; her step-sons, Alexander E. Ross, and Vincent S. Ross, Jr, both of Chicopee; her parents, Edward and Rita (Gallant) Thornton, of Brunswick, ME; her brother, Stephen Thornton of Boston, and step-sisters, Mary Ellen Wright of Natick, Tara Bowers of Kernersville, NC, and Jean Thornton of Daytona, FL, as well as 2 nephews and 5 nieces, and many friends, clients and acquaintances.
Lesa was born in Worcester, and educated in the Northboro schools.
     She worked as a self-employed personal stylist, specializing in nail care. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, traveling and her companion dog Ted.
     The Ross family would like to recognize the skilled and compassionate caregivers Lesa and family encountered at the Washburn House in Worcester and the medical staff on the fifth floor at the Memorial Campus of U-Mass in Worcester. Each of you have made a difference, thank you seems inadequate.
     At Lesa’s request, funeral and burial plans will be held privately.Kindly consider a donation in Lesa’s name to St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn is assisting Lesa’s family.
