Subscription Update Obituary

   Lawrence "Larry" M. Capite, 88, passed away Sunday, April 19th at Marlboro Hospital. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed.

   He is survived by two daughters: Stefanie Capite of Westboro, Jennifer McGinty of Worcester; a stepson, Emilio C. Botticelli of Shrewsbury; two brothers: Vito Capite and his wife Ruth of Leicester, and John Capite and his wife Joanne of Worcester; four grandchildren: Sarah Perry, Heather Perry, Jeremy McGinty, and Brandi McGinty; also many nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Capite was the brother of the late Mary Riccardi, Joseph, Anthony and William Capite. Former husband to the late Vera (Minchillo) Capite.

   Born May 8, 1920 in Worcester, Massachusetts, a son of the late Mattia and Geniffof (Sevido) Capite. He was a lifelong resident of Worcester educated through the Worcester schools. Mr. Capite served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, surviving a torpedo attack on an oil rig he was assigned.

   He returned to Worcester and opened a Texaco Gas Station and automotive repair station located on Lincoln St. from 1955-1979.

   Mr. Capite loved to play cards at the Eastside Post American Legion 201, he enjoyed ballroom dancing and sewing.

   His funeral will be held Thursday, April 23rd from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Funeral Mass at 12 noon. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park Cemetery, Paxton. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Louis M. Fazio Jr. and Louis M. Fazio III.
