Subscription Update Obituary

     Lawrence J. Lavallee, Sr., 81, of Auburn, died Saturday, October 19 in St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.

     His wife Janet T. (Ploude) Lavallee died in 2008. He leaves a son, Lawrence J. Lavallee, Jr. of Auburn, three brothers, Armand Lavallee and his wife Sandra of Rochdale, Roland Lavallee and his wife Mae of Sturbridge, and Robert Lavallee and his companion Carol Stewart of Spencer, a sister, Lorraine Dixon of Worcester, several nieces and nephews and his beloved parrot, Buddy. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Noe Lavallee and sisters, Jeannette Donahue, Lee Blair, Leona Savoy and Geneva Cardinal.

     Mr. Lavallee was born in Winooski, Vermont, son of Joseph and Esther (Brisson) Lavallee. He was a maintenance mechanic at the Norton Co. in Worcester for 20 years retiring in 1993. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed going to flea markets, using his computer, repairing antique radios and phonographs and attending car shows.

     The funeral will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 11:00 AM in J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
