Subscription Update Obituary

   Kenneth L. Marble, 93, of 87 May St., died Tuesday, Oct. 22 at St. Vincent's Hospital after an illness.

   He leaves his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Francis) Marble; two sons, Allan F. Marble of Worcester and John Marble of Clinton; two daughters, Gail Walker of Everett, Washington, and Norma Marble; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Ernest Marble, and a sister, Phyllis Stone, pre-deceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of George and Irene (Logan) Marble, and lived in Worcester most of his life. He graduated from Rhode Island School of Design and also attended Worcester Art Museum School.

   Mr. Marble was a chef at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge for many years. He previously worked as a chef at WPI and at various local restaurants. He enjoyed model trains, music, and painting.

   The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Rice Funeral Home (www.ricefuneralhome.com), 300 Park Ave, Worcester. After cremation, burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 25, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.
