Subscription Update Obituary

Kenneth J. Aromando, 67, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 22, in his childhood home, surrounded by his family.

He leaves his daughter, Cassondra Aromando of Medway; his father, Ralph L. Aromando, Jr. and his wife Helen (Putes) of Worcester, two brothers, Paul Aromando (Jean) of Oxford, John M. Aromando (David) of Clinton, and two sisters, June L. Burroughs (David) of Rutland and Lisa Aromando-Smith (Brian) of Worcester, a stepbrother, Rudolph Aromando of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Ralph Aromando,III and his nephew, Eric Burroughs predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Helen (Mahoney) Aromando. He attended St. Peter’s High School, where his passion was playing hockey. Ken enjoyed the simpler things in life, and didn’t want for much, he loved gardening and tending to his houseplants. He previously enjoyed riding his motorcycle and all the people he met on his journeys. Ken lived in a variety of places in and around Worcester, but Columbus Park was always home to him. 

Ken worked for Metso/Valmet for several years, where he met an incredible group of friends, prior to that he worked for Flexcom in Spencer, for many years.

The family would like to thank Brookhaven Hospice, especially Beth and Ashley, for their loving care and compassion. 

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 3 at 11am in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding St. Burial will be held in the Spring in Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Church, Food Pantry, 931 Main St., Worcester, 01610
