Subscription Update Obituary

Kenneth F. Rochette, 72, of North Port, FL, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Nov. 30, after a short illness, in the comfort of his daughters. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Donna J (Smith) Rochette.

He leaves six daughters, Kathy Lyons of Brentwood, NH, Karen Linfield of Worcester, Debora Hayes of Shrewsbury, Donna Brester of Kensington, CT, Denise Ring of Hubbardston and Gail Proudlove of Thompson, CT; 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Rochette of Auburn, Robert Rochette of Northboro and Richard Rochette of Chatham; three sisters, Beatrice Lareau of Spencer, Phyllis Belmore of Brookfield and Beverly Downing of Spencer; and many nieces and nephew. A brother also predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester on Feb. 8, 1934, the son of Clarence and A. Beatrice (Cardinal) Rochette. He graduated from Commerce High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Ken worked for Wright Line in Worcester, before retiring. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus in Worcester and the Auburn Ten Pins. He was also an avid golfer, fisherman, bowler and gardener. Kenneth donated his corneas to the Lions Eye Institute of Tampa, FL.

The funeral will be Thursday, December 7 from LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 1 Wiser Ave., Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 6 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care of Venice, Fla.
