Kenneth Francis Riel, 67, of Worcester, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 in Saint Vincent Hospital after an extended illness.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Carol J. (Memoe) Riel; two sons, David F. Riel of Bowling Green, Ohio and Michael A. Riel of Norcross, Georgia; a half-brother, William McNamara of Spencer; and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Edward F. and Marion E. (Rogers) Riel, lived in Worcester most of his life and most recently 3 years in Holden. For 14 years, he was employed at Hahnemann Hospital and later worked for nine years at the Webster House Restaurant. He was a former member of Our Lady of the Angels church.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden is directing arrangements.
