Subscription Update Obituary

    Kenneth Rivernider, 88, of Worcester, died Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center.

    His wife, Helen D. (Pierce) Rivernider, died in 1992.

    He leaves two daughters, Nancy L. Duby and her husband William of Charlton and Kathy A. Jones and her husband David of Lunenburg; a son, Kenneth Rivernider Jr. of Eugene, Oregon; three grandchildren Timothy, Jeffrey and Christine Duby and six great-grandchildren.

    He was born in Worcester. His mother was the late Grace Rivernider.

    Kenneth was a self-employed painting and decorating contractor in the Worcester area for many years.

    He was a World War II Navy veteran serving on the USS John D. Henley and the USS Breckenridge.

    He was a member of St. Christopher Parish and a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in West Boylston.

    The funeral Mass will be Thursday Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.

    Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association ., 330 Congress St., Boston 02210.

    The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
