Subscription Update Obituary

    Kathleen T. "Kitty" (Mahoney) St. Amand, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 22 at St. Vincent Hospital.

    She leaves her husband of 63 years, Leo J. St. Amand; three children: James L. St. Amand of Centerville, Kathleen A. and her husband Garrett Dolan of Stratham, NH and Mary A. and her husband William McGrath of Worcester; six grandchildren: Daniel and David Dolan, Christopher and Jason St. Amand and Michael and Kelli McGrath; two brothers: Donald and Michael Mahoney of Worcester. She was predeceased by her brothers: Maurice, James, John and Dennis Mahoney and her sisters: Margaret Breault, Helen Aromando, Victoria Murphy, Eileen Martelotta and Maureen Caron.

    Kitty was born in Worcester, the daughter of Maurice B. and Victoria (Skogstedt) Mahoney. She attended Classical and Commerce High Schools and served on the John Powers Drum Corp. Kitty worked as an AT&T telephone operator for 32 years, until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, the AT&T Pioneers and the Greendale Bowling League. She also served as Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America and was a Juniorette leader at St. Charles Borromeo Church.

    The funeral will be on Friday, June 25 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St with a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 24 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association , 330 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210-1258.
