Subscription Update Obituary

   Katharina (Kopp) Perduta, 88, of Worcester died Thursday, October 23, 2008 in Life Care Center of Auburn.

   She leaves her husband of sixty-two years, Walter Perduta; two sons, Norbert J. Perduta and his wife, Janie of Loomis, CA. and Peter A. Perduta and his wife, Kathy of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Inge M. McGurl and her husband, William of Paxton, and Sonya P. Perduta-Fulginiti of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister Anni Stein of Hessheim, Germany and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. Katharina was born in Bavaria, Germany, a daughter of Andreas and Maria Kopp.

   Mrs. Perduta worked at State Mutual Life Assurance Company for many years before retiring in 1982. She was educated in Germany. Katharina was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She was also a member of the German Social Club. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, as well as knitting and crocheting.

   A funeral will be held on Monday, October 27, from HENRY – DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Sunday, October 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
