June F. Thern, 90, of West Brookfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Quaboag on the Common.

June was born on September 7, 1932 in Spencer, the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Blidberg) Pollard. She leaves behind her daughter, Susan Spence (and her husband Dave) of North Brookfield; grandchildren Dawn LeClaire of Millbury, Melissa Tuttle (and her husband Rob) of Gilbertville and Jodie Buckmaster (and her fiancé Chris Chase) of North Brookfield; 10 great grandchildren; a great great grandson. She also leaves behind a brother, Harmon “Bunny” Pollard and his wife Judy of East Brookfield and 5 stepchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life Robert Thern in 2006; her grandson in law Mark LeClaire; her sister Viola (Pollard) King and brother Walter Pollard Jr.

June put her heart and soul into everything she did. In the years after her husband’s passing she was either volunteering at Quaboag on the Common or spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her faith meant everything to her, she loved her Soup for the Soul books as much as her daily devotional books and Christian music (especially the Vacation Bible School CDs the kids brought home). Her favorite places to go were Dunkins for her morning coffee with “the crew”, Charlie’s or Friendly’s with the great grandchildren for a Big-Two-Do during school vacations and summer breaks. She enjoyed collecting bobbleheads for every season and holiday which she proudly displayed in her dining room window.

As per June’s request, no funeral or memorial services will be held. Burial will be private for the family.

Arrangements are under the care of Pillsbury Funeral Home 3 West Brookfield Rd. Brookfield.
