Subscription Update Obituary

Julia M. (Chicoine) Rousseau, 83, of Oxford, formerly of 288 Harding St., Worcester, a former cook at a boys camp, died Sunday in the Medical Center of Central MA – Memorial, Worcester, after an illness.

She leaves her husband, Emile L. Rousseau; four sons, Emile L. Rousseau Jr. of Southbridge, Richard E. Rousseau of Marble Falls, Texas, Raymond P. Rousseau of Austin, Texas and Robert Rousseau of Goshen, NY; five daughters, Jeanette M. Valois and Anne T. Fife, both of Oxford, Florence L. Marchand and Margaret M. Simmons, both of Worcester, and Joan A. Baril of Salem, NH; 19 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.  She was born in Farnumsville, daughter of Victor H. and Ernestine (Lavallee) Chicoine, and lived most of her life in Worcester.

Mrs. Rousseau was an active member of St. Anthony’s Church in Worcester for many years.  She cooked at the Lemieux Boys Camp in Leicester for many years.
