Subscription Update Obituary

    Our beloved father, Joseph Paquette, passed away on October 12th, 2010 in Fayetteville, Georgia where he lived with his daughter & son in law for the past 1 ½ years. He was surrounded by his family at the time of death. He was 96, born in Lewiston, Maine on September 8th, 1914. He was the son of the late Paul & Jeanne (Comtois) Paquette.

    He proudly retired from Crompton & Knowles after 32 years of service. His ultimate joy in life was his family. He loved working on his home & garden on Wyman Street. While residing in Atlanta he loved his adopted cat Hunter, enjoyed endless hours playing cribbage. He looked forward to his trips to Sun City, SC where he marveled at the beauty of nature, the wild life, flowers & landscapes.

    He is a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army and was stationed at the Panama Canal.

    Survivors include six children, Marguerite Rickerson and husband Glen of Sun City, SC, Anne Oman & husband Robert of Long Beach, WA., Simone Bernard & husband Arthur of Fayetteville, GA., Joseph Paquette of Bellingham WA, Edward Paquette & wife Denise of Charlton, Andrew Levasseur & wife Maureen of Worcester. He has 12 grandchildren & 30 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Minnie, 2 sisters, Eva, Anna Rose Levasseur, 2 brothers, Leo & Gloria Paquette.

    A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held at St. Peter's Church 931 Main St. Worcester on Friday October 29th at 10 AM followed by interment in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center 629 Salisbury St. Worcester, Ma 01609.
