Subscription Update Obituary

   Joseph P. Gradowski, 62, of 10 Aspinwall Road, a retired truck driver, died Monday, Feb. 24, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after a short battle with cancer.

   He leaves his wife of 36 years, Sandra L. (Hertz) Gradowski; two sons, Kenneth L. Gradowski of Portland, Maine, and Jody Gradowski of Worcester; a daughter, Catherine R. Cruz of Worcester; two brothers, Robert and Peter Gradowski, both of Zephyrhills, Fla., two sisters, Jean Armstrong of Worcester and Jane Harris, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and four grandchildren.  Two brothers, Michael and Daniel Gradowski, and two sisters, Ann Trudell and Mary Stebbins, predeceased him.  He was born in Worcester, son of Joseph V. and Catherine (Herrie) Gradowski.

   Mr. Gradowski was a truck driver for the Worcester Public Works Department for 30 years, retiring in 1999.  He then was a printer at Advantage Human Resources until October, leaving because of illness.  He was a member of Service Employees International Union Local 495.

   The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, from Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., with Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St.  Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Hospice Inc., 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
