Subscription Update Obituary

     Joseph A. Murphy, Jr. 46, of Worcester, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 at the Rose Monahan Hospice, Judith Road.
     He leaves two children, Michael J. Murphy and Jessica M. Murphy, both of Worcester; his mother and step-father, Judy S. and Peter Richard Stepien of Worcester; a sister, Diane M. Russo and her husband Bruce of Worcester; a grandson, Anthony Henderson; his former wife, Susan E. Paine of Worcester; several nieces and nephews. His father, Joseph A. Murphy, Sr., died in 2004. He was born in Rantoul, Illinois and has lived in Worcester most of his life. He graduated from North High School in 1984.
     Joseph was a tractor trailer driver for Yellow Roadway Corporation and a member of Teamsters Local 170.
     A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 10:00 am at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 17 from 5pm-8pm at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice at: VNA Care Network & Hospice, Development Office, 5 Federal St., Danvers, MA 01923.
