Subscription Update Obituary

Joseph A. “Al” Larocque, 79, of 11 Bell Street, Spencer, a retired carpenter,died March 9, 1998 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being stricken ill at home.


He leaves his wife of 52 years, Doris M. (Landry) Larocque; a son, Paul A. Larocque of Spencer; two daughter, Ann E. Bonofiglio of Worcester and Jeannette M. McGrail of North Brookfield; a brother, Richard O. Larocque of Worcester; three sisters, Juliette Lacroix, Jeanne Savage and Irene Grandmont all of Spencer; three grandson, Ronald W. Bonofiglio, Jr., Joseph A. Bonofiglio of Worcester and Colby J. Larocque of Spencer; nieces and nephews.  He was born in Worcester, son of Israel and Clara (Coderre) Larocque, and was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe.


He was a carpenter for five years in the maintenance department of Clark University in Worcester before retiring in 1981.  He also worked many years for Antell Construction Co. in Spencer.
