Subscription Update Obituary

    John Paul Allen Forsman, 45, of Skowhegan Rd., died unexpectedly in his home on Monday, January 25, 2010, after a long illness.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Sharon (Benoit) Forsman; his cherished children, Jessica R. Forsman and Casey M. Forsman both of Norridgewock, ME; his mother, Lorraine M. (Stover) McCarthy and her husband Robert of Rutland; his father, Carl T. Forsman of Barre; two brothers, Carl T. Forsman and his wife Donna of Jefferson and Robert E. Forsman and his wife Denise of Kansas City, KS; a sister, Carole G. Forsman and her life partner Ronald Worley of Bennington, VT; two stepbrothers, Michael J. McCarthy of Warren and Marc B. McCarthy of Ware; a granddaughter, Pandora R. Forsman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

    John was born in Worcester, raised in Rutland and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1983. He was a dog trainer at the Raynham Taunton dog track. He was a member of the Rutland Sportsmen's Club in Rutland. He enjoyed playing baseball and played for the Rutland Little League. He especially loved working on his cars.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m. on Saturday January 30th followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rutland Lion's Club, P.O. Box 626, Rutland, MA 01543 or to the American Diabetes Association , 330 Congress St., 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02210.
