   John J. Kennedy, Jr.,90, of 42 Parker St. in the Rochdale section of Leicester, died Tuesday, March 4 at St. Francis Home in Worcester after a long illness.

   He leaves his wife of 67 years, Rachel M. (Chamberland) Kennedy; seven sons, James J. Kennedy and his wife Valerie of Thompson, Ct., Charles M. Kennedy and his wife Carol of Ft. Myers Beach, Fl., Roland T. Kennedy and his wife Judy of Auburn, Denis J. Kennedy and his wife Susan of No. Brookfield, David S. Kennedy of Worcester, Timothy P. Kennedy and his wife Wendy of Rochdale, and John J. Kennedy, III and his wife June of E.Brookfield; two brothers, Paul Kennedy of Shrewsbury and Richard Kennedy of W.Boylston; two sisters, Dorothy Morin of Millbury and Marjorie Andersen of Shrewsbury; 21 grandchildren and 24 great grand children; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Robert Kennedy and two sisters, Marion Pike and Rita Kimball.

   Mr. Kennedy was a storeroom supervisor at the former Worcester City Hospital before retirement in 1987. Previously he worked at Lindquist Tool for 14 years and also Electric Service for 23 years. Born in Dorchester, he was the son of John J. and Lenna (Sawler) Kennedy, Sr. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School. John was a member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Parish, the Knights of Columbus in Leicester and Friends of Shrewsbury.

   The funeral will be held on Monday, March 10, form the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, Mar. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to either St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 491 Pleasant St., Leicester, 01524 or St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St., Worcester, 01604.
