John J. Garrahie, Jr., 67, of Davenport, FL died Monday, June 4th in Florida Hospital, Orlando, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Nancy E. (Thomas) Garrahie; 2 sons, John J. Garrahie, III of Worcester and Ray R. Garrahie of Holden; 3 daughters, Christine L. Sawyer of Brunswick, ME, Patricia McClure of Northborough and Chelsea Beland of Connecticut; 2 sisters, Joanne F. Garrahie and Ellen J. Pawlik, both of Marlborough; 8 grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. His brother, Francis J. Meakin, predeceased him.

He was born in Worcester, the son of John J. Garrahie, Jr. and Lucielle (Linehan) Garrahie. Mr. Garrahie worked as a master barber and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed cribbage.

The funeral is Saturday, June 9th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, June 8th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a hospice program of the donor's choice.
