John F. Watts, 53, of 291 Providence Rd., South Grafton, went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2007.

He leaves 2 sons: Westley T. Watts of Jefferson and Nicholas A. Watts of Lake Butler, FL; 3 grandchildren: Ariana of Jeferson,MA,Cory and Kayla of Lake Butler,FL; 3 brothers: Paul T. Watts, Jr., of Sutton, Robert B. Watts of Millbury, and Brian J. Watts of Ishpeming, MI; a sister, Doris M. Webberly of Boca Raton, FL; and nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester on March 17, 1954, a son of the late Paul T. Watts, Sr. and Maria Louise (Pinho) Watts, and was raised in Millbury. He later lived in Southbridge and Austell, GA, before moving to South Grafton in 2004. He attended Blackstone Valley Vocational Technical Regional High School, Upton, before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served aboard the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. AMERICA (CV-66) as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Launching and Recovery), and was honorably discharged after 4 years active service.

Mr. Watts was an adjuster at Worcester Envelope, Auburn, where he had worked for many years. He loved fishing, especially deep sea fishing, building and flying remote-controlled model helicopters, and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.

His memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 9, in Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury. A visiting hour at the funeral home will be from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, April 9, before the service. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton, after the memorial service.
