Subscription Update Obituary

     John F. Giarusso, 42, of Worcester and formerly of Auburn, died peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2011, surrounded by those who loved him dearly.

     He leaves his mother, Kathleen M. (Foran) Giarusso of Worcester; his father and his wife, John J. and Karen Berni-Giarusso of Worcester; his brother, Joseph F. Giarusso of Boylston; his sister, Bianca L. Brady of Brooklyn, NY; his paternal grandmother, Irene (Petrone) Giarusso of Worcester; aunts, uncles and several cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Frank Giarusso, and by his maternal grandparents, Russell and Kathleen (Spillane) Foran.

     John attended the Mercy Centre for Developmental Disabilities and as a member of the CBDS Program he volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program and Sally’s Boutique at the Salvation Army, both in Worcester. A truly loving person, John shared his hugs with everyone and was always smiling.

     John’s family invite family and friends to celebrate his life by attending visiting hours on Sunday, May 1st from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn and his funeral service on Monday at 10 AM in the First Congregational Church of Auburn, 128 Central Street, Auburn. His aunt, the Rev. Patricia Coughlin will be officiating. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In recognition of John’s love of sunshine and beautiful sunsets, please honor his memory by wearing something colorful while attending his services.
