Subscription Update Obituary

John A. Lebel, 71 passed away on September 12th at his home.

John leaves behind his daughter, Amber Rock and husband John and their family of Oxford, his son John Lebel and wife Susan of North Carolina, his brothers Richard Lebel and wife Linda and Kenneth Lebel and their families of Millbury. John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. John was predeceased by his parents Ambrose and Leona, his brother Leonard and sister Carol.

John was raised in Millbury where he graduated from Millbury High School in 1973. He started his career in the abrasives industry at a young age at Norton Abrasives. John went on to build a long and dedicated career at Washington Mills in Grafton where he worked for 44 years until his retirement. His work ethic and decades long tenure were hallmarks of his professional life.

In his younger years, John enjoyed road trips and camping, motorcycles and muscle cars. John was a longtime fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and NASCAR. John enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, one of his many talents.

John’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.

Family and friends will celebrate John’s life by gathering for his Funeral Mass on Saturday, Oct. 18th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main Street in Millbury.
