Subscription Update Obituary

Joan A. (Turner) Hesselton, 77, of Worcester, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 in her home after a longtime battle with cancer. Her husband, of fifty-three years, Robert F. Hesselton died in 2009. She is survived by four children, a son, Robert R. Hesselton; three daughters, Susan Mitchell, Brenda Richard and Lyndel Holland, all of Worcester; a brother, Paul Turner of FL; two sisters, Patricia Willar and Emma Riel, both of Worcester, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, James Turner and two sisters, Jean Bisson and Beverly Turner. Joan was born in Worcester, a daughter of Percy and Alice (Lameroux) Turner.

A lifelong Worcester Resident, Mrs. Hesselton was a homemaker. First and foremost, she was a mother and grandmother to her children and also to children in the neighborhood. She enjoyed music particularly, country music.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 7, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. in Garden of Remembrance in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton MA. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, July 7, from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m.
