Jennifer Elizabeth (Houlihan) Bloom, 31, after losing her fight with cystic fibrosis passed away on January 9, 2007 at home in the arms of he mother and surrounded by family and friends.

She leaves her parents, Joanne E. (Oliveri) and Gerry Holm and her brother, Michael Houlihan all of Rutland; her uncle, Joey Oliveri, her grandfather, Joseph Oliveri with whom she resided, her boyfriend, Thomas E. Oliver, her sister and best friend, Tracey Cowden and little cat, Kayla, all of Worcester. Her zest for life never let her illness stop her from doing the things she loved: dancing, playing piano and traveling. She was an aesthetician and won a scholarship to become a cosmetologist. Because of her love for animals, she became a veterinarian's assistant. She attended Quinsigamond Community College and the Worcester Art Museum. She wrote short stories, painted and drew and won a statewide competition for C.F. California for one of her paintings. Jennifer will be missed by those she touched in her life, for her strength and courage and her beautiful smile.

A private service was held in the Miles Funeral Home, Holden. Her wish for others is to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Research, 220 North Main St., Suite 104, Natick, MA 01760.
