     Jeanette Helen Rivers, 71, of East Ave Spencer was embraced into her angels open arms and was carried away to a wonderful new beginning on Saturday, February 15, 2014. She was born in Southbridge MA on September 14,1942, the daughter of the late Clement & Helen (Poplawski) Belanger. She leaves her husband of 54 years, Robert F. Rivers; her daughter, Victoria Eldridge & husband Ernest Eldridge Jr.; son, Richard Rivers & wife Dee Rivers (adopted daughter in law); son, Glenn Rivers & fiance Leah Quinn, all of Spencer; her grandchildren who meant the world to her: Cristal & Heather Eldridge, Shawn, John, and Richard Jr. Rivers, Tara, Tisha, Austin, Kylie, Cameron; her best friend, a black lab mix Nunie;her great grandsons, Daniel Jr., Joseph Jr. and Jacob.
     She attended Mary Wells High School in Southbridge. Jeannette married in 1959 and moved to Spencer, where she loved living on the lake. She worked in her earlier days with her mom at Barret Stitching in Worcester. She had a great passion for cake decorating, sewing and loved going to the flea market. She was a member of the Spencer Congregational Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will always be remembered and loved by her family.
     Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 4-7PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer. The funeral will be held on Friday at 11AM in the First Congregational Church, 207 Main St., Spencer. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Donations can be made in her name to the Spencer Congregational Church.
