Jeannette L. Meacham died Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Overlook Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in Charlton. She was 89 years old. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert M. Meacham, Jr., who died in 1987 and a son, Dennis M. Meacham, who died in 1999. She leaves a son, Robert M. Meacham III, and his wife Pamela, of Shelton, WA; a daughter, Janice Hubacz and her husband Eddie, of North Brookfield; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Meacham, of Pasadena, CA; a son, Mark E. Meacham, and his wife Sue, of North Brookfield; eight grandchildren: Robert Meacham IV of Carmichael, CA; Donald Meacham of Gresham, OR; Dennis Meacham, Jr. of Southern CA; Edward Hubacz and his wife Lisa, of Oakham; Brian Cristman of Princeton; Karen Kiley and her husband Dale, of North Brookfield; Candace Meacham of Olympia, WA; Adam Cristman and his wife Sue, of Southington, CT; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Jeannette was born in Spencer, the daughter of Samuel Bosse and Regina (Denis) Bosse. She resided in
Spencer and North Brookfield all of her life. She worked at the Spencer Fair until her retirement.
Jeannette was a member of the Spencer Congregational Church and an active member of the East Brookfield Senior group. She enjoyed many senior citizen trips with her friends. She loved to travel and up until three years ago spent every Christmas in Pasadena , CA with her son, Dennis’, family where she enjoyed working on the floats for the Rose Bowl Parade and spent time in Florida with her daughter, Janice, her husband, Eddie, every winter with her sister-in-law, Martha Ann. Those were special times for her and she looked forward to them every year.
Jeannette had many hobbies that included canning, ceramics, quilting, crocheting and most of all she loved working in her gardens. She loved flowers and being surrounded by them, she truly had a green thumb and a little dirt under her nails.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 10,2012 from 1 – 3 p.m. in the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St., Spencer, MA The funeral service for Jeannette will follow at 3:00PM.
