Jeanne Theresa (Gouin) Sauvageau, 69, of 14 Grove St., died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Radius Health Care in Southbridge.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, Robert A. Sauvageau, Sr.; three sons: Bruce Sauvageau and his wife Dawna of Sturbridge, Robert Sauvageau, Jr. and his wife Malisa of North Brookfield, Richard Sauvageau and his wife Jacqueline of Spencer; two daughters: Charlene Kaiser and her husband Richard, Sr., of Spencer, with whom she lived, Nancy Slowick and her husband Dan of Palmer; a sister, Patricia Dulmaine and her husband Robert of Worcester; 12 grandchildren: Sheri Mills, Richard Kaiser, Jr., Justin Sauvageau, Heather Nelson, Michelle Yagmin, Samantha and John Dean, Kara Ketchum, Richard Sauvageau, Jr., Brandon Sauvageau, Eli Slowick, Cote Doucette; 4 great-grandchildren: Hailey and Jared Mills, Landon Kaiser and Isabella Sauvageau and several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her two brothers, Robert and Charlie Gouin.

Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Armand & Irene (Zella) Gouin.

Mrs. Sauvageau was a nurse’s aide for 5 years at Millbury Nursing Home. She was a member of the former St. Mary’s Church in Spencer. The family wishes to send a sincere thank you to the Summit Eldercare for all their caring help.

She enjoyed sewing, making cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a great fondness for her dogs.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 13 at 10 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
