Subscription Update Obituary

Jean S. (Vancelette) Washington, 58, of Worcester, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at her daughter’s home on Cape Cod.

She leaves her husband, Quincy Washington, Jr., five children, Lisa Washington of Yarmouth, Quincy Washington of Worcester, Steven Washington of Hyannis, Tracey Washington of Worcester, and Leah Washington of North Carolina; two brothers, John Vancelette of Maine and Ronald Vancelette of Charlton; four sisters, Joyce Thompson of Worcester, Betty Stewart and Janice Miller of Florida, and Margaret Wright of Texas; 13 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Raymond Vancelette. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Reid) Vancelette.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011, with a service at 11:30 AM at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, June 28 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
