Jean Muriel (Geoffrion) Zukowski, 83, of Holden, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at UMass Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester after suffering a stroke.

    Jean leaves three sons, Edward J. and James G. Zukowski, both of Holden, and David P. Zukowski of Rindge, N.H.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward; her son Robert A. Zukowski; her daughter Sharon A. Coolidge; her sister Ruth Garcia; and her brother George Geoffrion.

    She was born in Agawam, the daughter of George and Eva (Rogers) Geoffrion. She graduated from high school in Agawam and shortly after married 2nd Lieutenant Edward Zukowski, her husband of 59 years. She lived in Holden for more than 60 years. Throughout her life, Jean held several positions in manufacturing. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. At Jean’s request, there were no calling hours. Burial was in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Hudson, directed arrangements.
